AI Safety, Accountability, and Human Alignment Policy
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
Policy Statement
Humaital is committed to the ethical, safe, and transparent deployment of Artificial Intelligence. All AI systems must be developed and operated under the strict mandate of Human Alignment, ensuring that technology serves human intent and societal well-being without compromise.
This policy establishes a standardized framework to:
- Mitigate Risk: Identify and neutralize algorithmic bias, “black box” logic, and unintended externalities.
- Ensure Accountability: Define clear lines of human responsibility for every autonomous and semi-autonomous system.
- Standardize Trust: Utilize the Human Alignment Index (HAI Score™) as the primary metric for evaluating system integrity and safety.
Mandatory Safety Protocols
All AI-driven initiatives must adhere to the following three-pillar safety protocol:
A. Safety by Design
Before any code is deployed, project management must submit an Alignment Impact Statement. This document must prove that the AI’s objective function is mathematically and ethically aligned with the specific human purpose it was commissioned to serve.
B. Operational
No AI system shall operate without a “Human-in-the-Loop” (HITL) override. All management decisions of infrastructure integrity environments must be accessible to authorized personnel at all times with override controls in place.
C. Transparency
Humaital maintains that any stakeholder impacted by an AI decision, be it a customer, employee, or partner: is entitled to a clear, non-technical explanation of the logic used to reach that conclusion.
Accountability Mandate
In the event of a system failure or ethical breach, accountability rests with the Designated Human Proprietor of the system. AI is used as a tool of Humaital; therefore, the legal and ethical responsibility for its actions cannot be offloaded to the software or its third-party developers.
Safety and Accountability Approval
This AI Safety and Accountability Charter reflects the principles and commitments that guide the mission and operations of Humaital.
This charter has been reviewed and approved by the ownership, founders, and management of Humaital and represents a formal commitment to uphold these governance principles in alignment with the organization’s core values.
